baby with 2 headsA baby with 2 heads was born in Manila at the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial hospital Tuesday evening. The father who is a tricycle driver with an unemployed wife is worried about the condition of their child when he found out that the baby was born with 2 heads at 8:45 in the evening yesterday.

The 2-head baby is now still under observation and was checked to see if the baby has two sets of organs which is essential for its survival and if there is a chance to separate them (which is quite impossible with only 1 body). The test showed that they have separate hearts but are not fully grown. Because of their hearts’ conditions the baby would need to be transported to the Philippine Heart Center. Still, it is a good thing that they have two hearts because if the 2-d echocardiogram shows only one heart, then there is no chance of survival for the twins.  Other organs are still being checked to see if the babies are sharing organs.

This is the first ever 1 body with 2 heads baby delivered at Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital but other hospitals in Manila had previous records of cases similar to this one.
