A couple had been quarantined in VSMMC when the thermal scanner showed that the husband is currently having a fever. The wife is sitting beside him on their flight from Ireland to Hong Kong and as precautionary, she too was quarantined. A woman from Britain admitted herself because she suspects she may have the swine flu virus. The woman had been to Mexico then Hong Kong before she came to Cebu City. She developed cough and flu which got her worried which is why she wanted to make sure if she has the virus or not.
Since the 3 are considered cases, they are not suspected cases but are just cases that are under investigation. The cases would be considered “suspected” if they develop the symptoms pertaining to the A H1N1 virus but so far, the 3 does not show that. In fact, the British woman seems almost impossible to have the virus since she only experienced cough and cold and no fever and that it took 8 days before she have seen the symptoms. The virus is said to spread in 10 days the most and having these symptoms on the 8th days made her rather unlikely to have the virus but, we will confirm this after the tests would reveal the truth but that would be in 2 to 3 days from now.
If positive, this would be the first cases of the A(H1N1) virus in the country!
