Filipinos are sensitive when somebody would say some unkind words to the Filipinos in general. They’ve seen how Filipinos around the world show their protest and demand for public apology just like with the case on Desperate Housewives and with the racist slur written by a Hong Kong journalist against Filipinos and many others that shouts out “foul”.  Now, Alec Baldwin has added his name on the list and Sen. Bong Revilla couldn’t keep his composure and reacted to the racial joke during Baldwin’s interview with David Letterman on “The Late Show”.

Alec Baldwin said that he was thinking of getting himself a Filipino mail-order bride.  This is meant as a joke but Sen. Revilla said that Alec Baldwin’s comment was uncalled for and insensitive.

Certainly, many Filipinos in the US would show their outrage with Alec Baldwin’s insulting remark in the coming days.  Sen. Bong Revilla even warns that he will personally give Baldwin some serious beating if he ever comes here in the Philippines.
