The country is in a crisis and we need all the money we can get to help feed the poor and to make the lives of the Filipinos a little bit better. Now comes a report that GMA and her entouraged splurged on a dinner in New York’s prestigious French restaurant Le Cirque that amounts to $20,000 which is over P900,000.

What’s worse? It was on the New York Post and the article’s headline reads “Philippine President Maria Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was at Le Cirque the other night with a large entourage enjoying the good life… Macapagal-Arroyo ordered several bottles of very expensive wine, pushing the dinner tab up to $20,000”. With this type of news, the Filipino people are once again bitter about GMA. The representative of GMA said that the lavish dinner was paid for by somebody else and was not taken from the government’s money.
