The outpour of support for Cory on her death should remind GMA not to push the Charter Change

Jejomar Binay, the mayor of Makati said that the public support for the late Corazon “Cory” Aquino should be a warning to GMA not to push for the Charter Change. He said that the procession of people during her funeral shows that our people are really capable of staging another people power if ever the President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo would cling to her power beyond her term as President which will end next year, 2010.

Cory was laid to rest

Corazon “Cory” Aquino was laid to rest yesterday at the Manila Memorial Park just right beside her husband, Ninoy Aquino’s grave. It was a very emotional moment from the Manila Cathedral to the procession of her grave which lasts about 7 hours up to the time that her body was laid to rest.

August 5 declared as a special Non-Working Holiday

The entire country is in mourning when the favorite and most adored president that our country has ever had passed away on Saturday morning at 3:18 AM. This August 5 would be the day of her private funeral and the president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had declared it as a special non-working holiday so that the Filipinos can all be witnesses to this moment as our beloved former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino would be put to rest at her final resting place beside her late husband Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. at the Manila Memorial Park.

SONA and 95th celebration of INC caused horrible traffic

Yesterday the president, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had her 9th state of the nation address and it’s on the same day that the INC or the Iglesia ni Cristo had celebrated their 95th year anniversary. The effect? Heavy traffic.
