Corazon AquinoYesterday, Kris Aquino announced on The Buzz that her mother, the former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino will be under the knife today for her colon cancer operation. She even reiterated that her mom had exceeded the “taning” (life expectancy) as given by the doctor when they found out that she already had a serious stage of colon cancer last year.

Corazon “Cory” Aquino was brought to Makati Medical Center and was watched over by her daughter, Kris, last night and until this morning before her scheduled operation. After an hour and a half of operation, she was taken out of the surgery room around 2 in the afternoon and was in recovery. At 5:30 in the afternoon she woke up. Thankfully, the results show that it was a successful operation. The doctors had succeeded in removing the cancerous portion of his colon cancer and they are very positive that Corazon “Cory” Aquino would overcome her cancer.

It is indeed miraculous that she had exceeded her life expectancy after knowing her cancer and it’s probably because of her strong faith and with the millions of Filipinos who continue to pray for her. She is a wonderful woman that has helped the Philippines and it’s wonderful that she’s got her second chance at life. Mabuhay ka, Cory!
