The talent manager for movies and television stars, Douglas Quijano, was found dead in his resthouse at Lucban Quezon yesterday June 13, 2009. He was 64. He died in his sleep but the cause of death is still undetermined but the initial report from Quezon’s SOCO the cause of death is heart attack.

Many are shocked by the sudden and early death of the talent manager. His close friends such as German Moreno and Lolit Solis were shocked when they first heard of the tragic news.  “The local industry would really feel this loss”, they said.

The showbiz industry is once again mourning the loss of another great person who had contributed so much to the industry and paved the way for talents such as John Estrada, Anjo Yllana, Richard Gomez, Richard Gutierrez and even was the first manager for big stars such as Aga Muhlach and Tirso Cruz III.  His contributions to the showbiz industry left a big mark and his death is really such a big loss.

“He helped so much people”, according to German Moreno, “and he had a big contribution to our industry.”  Friends and loved ones can say their final goodbyes to Douglas Quijano at his wake at Heritage Park in Taguig.
