Asia enjoys the glimpse of the solar eclipse and millions have come and witness this great phenomenon of the sky. In the Philippines, we only witnessed a partial solar eclipse but in several Asian countries they witnessed a full solar eclipse. Japan saw the day turn to darkness in this century’s longest solar eclipse.
In India, many came to do a ritual for the eclipse that resulted in tragedy. There was a stampede that left 1 person dead but everybody else enjoyed the amazing sight. In China, some are upset that the weather did not give them the chance to enjoy the eclipse. There was rain and it was cloudy.
In the Philippines, many came out and watched the eclipse although it wasn’t a full solar eclipse but it was still an amazing sight. Both Filipinos and tourists came together to enjoy the wonderful sight.
Some believe a solar eclipse is a bad omen and they claim that it is a sign that something bad is going to happen but experts junk this idea because it has no scientific basis. It’s a natural phenomenon when the sun is covered by the moon on its orbit to Earth.
