With the convene of the con-ass (constituent assembly) on the lower house last week, there are rumors that this is for GMA’s running for presidency again by next year’s presidential election. The spokesman for the president last Sunday had made a statement that the president has no plans on running for any public office in 2010’s election despite the protest slamming her that con-ass is convened for her to be reelected.

Sec. Cerge Remonde even added that it is just hearsay and they just want to make this allegation to make the president look bad as well as the administration so they, the opposition, would look good.

There are lots of protects about the con-ass and there would be mass actions for this starting next week. CBCP warned the protesters to do away with violence as this will only jeopardize their cause.
