The official fight odds aren't out yet but Floyd Mayweather Jr. should be the heavy favorite against Victor Ortiz for their fight. The Mayweather vs Ortiz fight will happen on September 17, 2011 on MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. I know the MGM would love to host a Mayweather vs Ortiz fight. I think even Mayweather would love it. He will be ready to hook up with his uncle Roger as soon as they kick off the eight-week preparation. Many boxing analysts said pick Mayweather as the winner during an interview, and almost instantly the Pretty Boy has become the favorite. Mayweather with his speed, his ability, his tight defense, and his power he will just overwhelm Ortiz with his hand speed, foot speed and amazing stamina giving Ortiz a hard time early on. But it's like I don't want to say mismatch because in my own opinion there's a never a mismatch per se between two fighters. But Mayweather dominates. There was little interest before and many boxing writers saw it as a huge mismatch for them, despite trainer Roger Mayweather saying how Ortiz would make for an exciting fight. Victor is going to throw a more punches from all different angles. He's much bigger than Mayweather is, he has a great jaw and it's going to be a great, great fight. The only thing I worried about is his Power if can catch "Money "Mayweather with his punch. Both Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz were bred to be fighters. Both guys grew up with boxing gloves hanging from their crib ceilings. The debating can go on and on forever. The bottom line is neither guy is going to give you an inch – both fighters are relaxed in the ring, comfortable and fluid in such a way that it's easy to believe boxing pumps through their veins in absence of blood. Now it's all up to the two men, Mayweather vs Ortiz when they step into the ring to give us something we've seen in the past and bring it back to the present.
