The Fil-Am Activist who said was abducted last May had already testified yesterday on the Commission on Human Rights as she recalls her torment on the 6-day ordeal where she said she had seen the faces of her abductors who she said she could still recognize the next time she sees them again.
Melissa Roxas is a member of the Bayan USA had tried to maintain her composure as she is forced to look back on that painful ordeal she had where she was not only abducted but she was also tortured by whom she believes are military men. She was asked many times to admit that she’s an NPA which she vehemently denies that she is and she was tortured several times before she was released.
She recalled that she was dragged to ride a blue van and then she was blindfolded and was handcuffed. She could not see where she was taken but she only give some information by what she had heard depicted that of the military camp. She was beaten, punched and gagged as she was taken into the van and she walked barefoot the whole time.
She was slapped, punched and choked and her head was even hit on the wall. She was badly tortured and if proven that it was indeed the military that did this, it would be a really big scandal.
Melissa Roxas really didn’t want to go back to the Philippines after her 6-day ordeal that bruised her for life but CHR convinced her to come back and file charges. Its going to be a long and painful process but this would help free her from the bandage of the past and hopefully she could get justice from it although the chances could be slim as it’s hard to fight with the military.
