Ted FailonWe’ve all witnessed the drama unfold in the life of the family of Ted Failon, the ABS-CBN news anchor and broadcaster. We saw how the Quezon City Police treated them as if they were criminals and charged them with obstruction of justice.
The Filipinos were split with our thoughts on the matter. Did Ted’s wife really killed herself or was she blatantly murdered? That is still being investigated by the NBI now since they transferred it from the Quezin City Police to NBI because of human rights violation but at least now the Failon’s family can be relieved because the Prosecutor’s office of Quezon City had junked the cases against them for obstruction of justice.
That is a relief but that can’t bring back what the Quezon City Police had taken away from them. If you can still remember it very well, they were mercilessly arrested at the hospital while Failon’s wife was just hours away from her death. They were grieving from a tragedy and they also had to experience that but that’s water under the bridge now. Ted’s lawyer said that they also hope that the NBI would also come up with the same decision regarding the ongoing investigation on the cause of Trinidad Etong’s death.
