Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez had been a couple for 5 years and many had been waiting for the day that the two would finally tie the knot. Now, it’s time for the “pamamanhikan” which is a traditional way for a man to ask the woman’s family permission for the woman’s hand.

Korina said that their wedding would definitely happen this year and they will not keep it a secret to everyone at all since she’s a journalist while he’s the #1 elected senator last 2004. She also added that they are in love and no one is stopping that and the wedding will definitely push through. There is no actual date to the wedding yet but she said the only possibility that the wedding will not push through is if there’s a calamity or something very violent is going on.

Some people are not quite convinced about the motive for their wedding happening this year when Mar Roxas is going to run as President for next year’s election (if ever it will indeed push through).  Whether or not they are using this to further increase their popularity, it’s their choice but just like what Korina said, they are in love and no one can stop that.
