The number of Gibo supporters are rapidly boosting up, with thousands and millions of people rooting for the former secretary of Defense, the presidential candidate's vision and mission for the country is gradually turning in to reality. With the presidential elections just around the corner, Lakas Kampi's campaign is getting even stronger everyday.
Numerous influential people and groups that have already declared their support for Gibo. One of the latest supporters who have vowed to back Teodoro until May 10 is Plaza clan. Celebrated political leader and former Agusan del Sur governor Valentina Galido Plaza has kept up that her family is fully supportive of the Lakas-Kampi-CMD frontrunner Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr.'s presidential bid.
Plaza declared this statement to the G1BO 2010 Media Bureau as she highly convicted what she delineated as the recent “black propaganda” efforts asserting that her family is supporting an opposition presidential candidate. The 78-year old woman of the powerful Plaza clan criticized the news infos as part of a scheme to delude the Filipino voters.
“Secretary Teodoro’s unmatched qualifications and integrity merit the country’s support,” said Plaza, former chairperson of the Caraga Regional Development Council.
According to reports that involved Plaza’s alleged change of support was provoked by a sortie of another presidential candidate to the residence of Ma. Theresa Daisy Plaza, former mayor of Butuan City. Daisy is the wife of Democrito Plaza II, current mayor of Butuan City.
In addition to Plaza's history, the widow of Democrito Plaza Sr., served as former governor of Agusan del Sur, from 1980 to 1986, and from 1998 to 2001. She stayed away from the limelight of Northern Mindanao politics since then, and has focused on spiritual and improvement programs in Agusan del Sur. Democrito Sr. is acknowledged with turning Butuan City from an agricultural backwater to the pioneering extremely developed city in Northern Mindanao.
