SONA and 95th celebration of INC caused horrible traffic

Yesterday the president, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had her 9th state of the nation address and it’s on the same day that the INC or the Iglesia ni Cristo had celebrated their 95th year anniversary. The effect? Heavy traffic.

If you live in the Southern Tagalog area and you passed by the South Luzon Expressway then you know how heavy the traffic caused by the celebration of the 95th year of Iglesia ni Cristo. Swarms or members of INC came from different provinces to Manila and celebrate and that caused heavy traffic.  Your regular 2 hour drive to Laguna turned 6 hours or more and in the Metro Manila area, a lot of traffic rerouting had also taken place to pave way for the State of the Nation Address.

Not only in Manila can you feel the traffic but anywhere in the Philippines that celebrate the 95th year Anniversary of Iglesia ni Cristo also felt the impact of the big celebration. Some roads had been closed and turned into parking lots for the cars of the Iglesia ni Cristo members.

Yesterday was a traffic day indeed but prior to that there had been an “AVISO” to either leave home much earlier or just stay at home because you should expect heavy traffic.
