Willie already apologized for what he said about the airing side by side of Wowowee with the cortege of Corazon Aquino although he still stands with what he said. He now went on an indefinite leave because of this controversy where Filipinos still continue to share their shock and dismay with the noontime show host through online petitions and through twitter, facebook and text messages.

Indefinite leave may mean 2 days or 3 days off from work which means that Wowowee won’t have Willie to host it because he was asked to go on leave starting August 10. His co-hosts are now taking over and they are doing quite well as always especially Pokwang who doesn’t miss giving us fun antics that brings more life to the noontime show.

The entire country is in mourning when the favorite and most adored president that our country has ever had passed away on Saturday morning at 3:18 AM. This August 5 would be the day of her private funeral and the president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had declared it as a special non-working holiday so that the Filipinos can all be witnesses to this moment as our beloved former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino would be put to rest at her final resting place beside her late husband Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. at the Manila Memorial Park.
