Freddy Roach had predicted that Manny would knock down Ricky Hatton in less than 3 rounds and De La Hoya in 9, now Roach sees a bit of a challenge with Cotto that he doesn’t think Manny could knock him down as quickly as he did with Hatton.

Roach thinks that Cotto pose a threat that could be a huge problem for Manny Pacquiao. First of all, Miguel Cotto is a big and strong guy where Manny is smaller. Roach wants Cotto to go down to the lowest weight possible to make it even for Pacquiao.  He believes Cotto is a much stronger guy than Hatton and he’s a better fighter.
