This August 5 would be the day of her private funeral and the president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had declared it as a special non-working holiday so that the Filipinos can all be witnesses to this moment as our beloved former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino would be put to rest at her final resting place beside her late husband Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. at the Manila Memorial Park.
