yellow ribbonWe all know that former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino is battling with stage 4 colon cancer and the family is now prepared that she will eventually succumbed and go back to our Lord Creator. They just want her to not be in pain as it’s heartbreaking for them to see their beloved mother in pain and not eating.

Makati has been adorned with yellow ribbons to show the love of the Filipino people to our former President. The yellow ribbon is a way to show our support to tita Cory and so the Filipino people could rekindle once more the flame of our democracy which Cory Aquino began when her husband was killed during the Marcos regime.

Now, it’s not only the streets of Metro Manila that is filled with yellow ribbons but even netizens are starting to join in as well. Blogs and other social networking sites had posted yellow ribbon pictures to show their support and love for tita Cory Aquino.

Prayers for Cory Aquino continues in the hopes that she could still survive the stage 4 cancer or for her to at least not suffer any longer with the pain and that whenever it is time for her to pass, she won’t feel any pain.

Cory Aquino will always be the mother of our country and the Philippines will never be the same without such an influential person to guide us through all the difficulties that we are facing especially in our government. Let’s all say a little prayer for our former President and let us show her how much she is loved and appreciated by the Filipino people.
