Willie already apologized for what he said about the airing side by side of Wowowee with the cortege of Corazon Aquino although he still stands with what he said. He now went on an indefinite leave because of this controversy where Filipinos still continue to share their shock and dismay with the noontime show host through online petitions and through twitter, facebook and text messages.

Indefinite leave may mean 2 days or 3 days off from work which means that Wowowee won’t have Willie to host it because he was asked to go on leave starting August 10. His co-hosts are now taking over and they are doing quite well as always especially Pokwang who doesn’t miss giving us fun antics that brings more life to the noontime show.

Maybe Willie Revillame’s intention was not bad but his chosen words and for deciding to air his opinion live during the cortege of Cory Aquino made Filipinos very angry at him especially because it wasn’t any person who died but it was our beloved Cory Aquino. He did not mean to offend former President Aquino and his family as he is a good friend of Kris Aquino, the youngest daughter of the late former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino.
