Zest Air Flight Z2-863 RPC 8992 had overshot the airport’s runway at 7:43 AM when a tire of the plane blew up which results to its noose gear to have gotten stuck on the airport’s runway.  None of the 54 passengers and crew got injured with the incident but because of what happened, 32 flights to Caticlan got cancelled today until 6 in the evening.

Cebu Pacific had announced that 10 of its flights had been cancelled because the Caticlan airport had been closed to investigate the incident that happened this morning.  The affected passengers of the delay had been accommodated by Cebu Pacific as they dispatched their Airbus A319.

As of 6 in the evening, the airport is back to normal.
